The treatment of oral lesions with therapeutics (medicines) and referral of the patients to other concerned departments are done.
The department undertakes radiological and other diagnostic procedures whereby the hospital offers digital radiography and imaging services required for the general and specialized dental services including IOPA x-ray, Orthopantomogram (OPG) x-ray, Cephalogram x-ray, Occlusal and TMJ views. Besides, department also offers dental photography and operates intra-oral camera for patient education.
In conjunction with clinical diagnosis, laboratory diagnoses to confirm the oral lesions are met on the basis of microbiological, biochemical, hematological, histopathological tests. This department undertakes diagnostic procedures like biopsy, cytology etc.
This department deals with the surgical management of oral and maxillofacial lesions including tooth extractions, excision of the surgical lesions, cleft lip and palate repair, orthognathic surgery for dento-facial deformities, oral implantology etc.
The department comprises of dental operatory, minor surgery and oral implantology section, operation theatre with post-operative care wards and nursing station. The department is backed by oral & maxillofacial surgeon, dental surgeons, nursing staffs and CSSD for asepsis practice.
This department deals with the prevention and treatment of the diseases of gum and supporting structures of the teeth offering the services ranging from oral hygiene maintenance, oral prophylaxis (scaling), gum and periodontal surgeries, tooth splinting etc. the department is equipped with a number of modern ultra-sonic scalers and periodontal surgical instruments; and is supported by specialists, dental surgeons and qualified dental hygienists.
The department emphasizes on conservation of tooth structure by offering every possible treatment approach to save the tooth. The treatment modalities rendered are tooth restorations, cosmetic make-overs of tooth, tooth whitening, root canal treatment (RCT), endodontic surgeries etc. The department is equipped with necessary equipments and instruments including u-v light cure filling unit, apex locator, radio-visiogram (RVG) and is supported by the team of specialists and dental surgeons.

This department deals with the prevention, interception and correction of the malocclusion (irregularities of the teeth and jaw) to manage the esthetic and functional problems. Various treatment modalities using fixed appliances (braces), removable appliances, myo-functional appliances, dento-facial orthopedics and orthognathic surgeries are offered in this department. The department is led by highly qualified Orthodontists and is supported by the clinical laboratory for the fabrication of appliances.
This specialized department deals with the preventive and therapeutic dental treatment and management of the pediatric (child) patients up to the age of thirteen years and also offers special care for the patients with mental, physical and emotional disabilities. The pedodontic discipline envisages that the child is not just a miniature adult but a dynamic organism undergoing constant mental, physical and emotional changes with different treatment needs. Thus the department is prepared with the ambience amicable to serve such patients.
This department treats the community instead of treating an individual patient by organizing community dental programs, school oral health awareness program, dental camps, training health professionals on oral health, water fluoridation program etc. The department uses various information, education & communication (IEC) materials for awareness of the patient. The department is also involved in survey and research on dental public health interest. The department is backed with dental public health experts, dental surgeons and support staffs. The department owns a mobile dental van to offer mobile dental service to the rural areas and in the community.
