Dental camp at White Heaven Academy

Kantipur Dental College and Hospital conducted one day free dental camp at white Heaven Academy , Gongabu Kathmandu on 18th Jan 2018 .Dr Smita Dhakal led the team of 22 from KDCH with an objective of oral health promotion among school children .
Total of 384 students along with school teachers were screened and provided with oral Hygiene instruction. The most common oral disease was dental caries and gingivitis. Caries was common in primary school children while gingivistis was common in secondary school children.
Students were provided with demonstration of Tooth Brushing technique and dietary consultation. Children who needed urgent treatment were referred to the hospital.
