Free Dental Camp Under Dr Osawa Smile Project

Kantipur Dental College and Hospital conducted one day free dental camp under Dr Osawa Smile Project(Buddhi Bangara Foundation, Japan) for orphans in association with Nepal Taekwando Association lalitpur. The main objective of Dental Camp was raising oral health awareness among orphan kids and motivating them to keep oral cavity healthy. The activities like oral screening, Simple Extraction , oral hygiene instruction and tooth paste and toothbrush distribution were conducted. Tooth brushing method was demonstrated to everyone according to their age group.
Total of 135 orphans under 16 years were screening and the most common finding was dental caries and gingivitis.
