Free Dental camp at senior citizen welfare society

Kantipur Dental College Teaching Hospital and Research center organized one day free dental camp In association with senior citizen welfare society at Baneshwor, Kathmandu on 3rd September 2017. A team of 7 doctors were led by Dr Smita Dhakal .Total of 100 patients were attended where almost all were above 60 years of age. All of them were screened and provided with simple curative treatment like extraction. Almost all of them had generalized periodontitis as a major finding. People above 70 years of age had many root stumps in their oral cavity causing difficulty in eating. Few of them had prosthetic complete denture in their mouth.After check up everyone was taught aboutmethods of Maintainence of oral hygiene and it’s importance by Dr Anju khapung.
