Healthy Child Healthy Smile

Kantipur Dental College Teaching Hospital And research Center Conducted one day Free Dental Camp On 27th October 2017 at Euro Kids School, Samakhusi Kathmandu. It is oral health promotion program under Dr Osawa Smile Project, that Targets primary school Children.
A team of Five Dentists and Four Dental Hygieneists was Led By Dr Smita Dhakal. The team Had an objective of promoting oral health among school children of primary Level and provide them with Oral Hygiene Instruction.
Total of 150 students were screened and most of them presented with Dental Caries as Major Oral Disease. All of them were provided with oral hygiene instructions that included demonstration of tooth brushing according to the age group and and proper dietary habit. Children were also Taught about the importance of Primary teeth and how its immature loss can affect the oral Health.Teachers were also trained on basic oral Health care.
