Kantipur Dental College teaching hospital and research center along with Kantipur school of dentistry has been successfully running 3 years courses of certificate of dental science (CDS) and diploma in pharmacy with a commitment to deliver the finest progressive dental hygiene and pharmacological education since 1997 under the affiliation of CTEVT.
On the 7th of September Kantipur Dental College Teaching Hospital and Research Center organized an orientation program for students of diploma in Pharmacy and Certificate of Dental Science in the hospital premises. It started with a formal introduction of faculty members and staffs and a speech of Chairman Dr. Buddhiman Shrestha.
In the program experts from the respective field introduced them their course structure, their scope and opportunities. They were also shown various presentation on oral health and its importance and growing demand of pharmaceutical professionals. Students were also informed about their future duties and career opportunities that this education would provide them and under the rule of Health Entrepreneur Council they can work in clinical set up, hospital and dental colleges. They also have a wide opportunity to carry on further studies in united states and various European countries.
Students happily took part in the interaction and it finally had a sense of satisfaction among the students to carry on with their studies with a enthusiasm. They got to know that the course was not just limited to a certificate level but it could let them choose their careers in BDS and MBBS after attending 3 months of bridge course. Orientation program ended with visit of hospital. The students visited different clinical department of dental set up , their working station, library and administration section.
