antipur Dental College Teaching Hospital And Research center conducted Second school Tooth Brushing Program under ‘Dr Osawa Smile Project’ on 2nd nov 2017 at Shree Dhapasi Secondary School. The first School Tooth Brushing Program was conducted on March 20 2017. The second program is the continuation of the Dr Osawa Smile Project where the same sample were taken . Total of 170 students were screened it included students from class 1 to class 6 . They were provided with oral Hygiene Instructions and information about good dietary habit.All of them were Provided with Toothbrushes and fluoridated toothpastes. The Tooth Brushing technique was demonstrated and all the students were asked to brush in the school itself. The objective of this program was to create awareness on oral health among primary school children and compare the oral Hygiene status of the same children using OHIS index. The prevalence of dental caries was also measured with DMFT index.
The common finding in students is dental caries and gingivitis.
