The Community Diagnosis Program-2014 aimed to compare socioeconomic and health attributes of people living at newly formed Chapakot municipality. Minor ethnic groups of people residing in Chapakot like Magar, Sarki, Bishwakarma, Majhi, Newar and Kumal were covered so that they could be compared with dominating Brahmin and Chhetri ethnic groups for oral and general health status. Ward/ area allocation according to specific ethnic group was done and orientation on the purpose of CDP along with rapport building technique was briefed to the participating students. Household survey was done on December 26-27, 2014. A group of 54 students of BDS 7th batch were equally divided into nine groups and assigned in different wards of Chapakot municipality. A total of 216 households were covered by second year BDS students with nearly 4 houses visited by each student. On December 28th, school oral health program was conducted in nine different schools of Chapakot municipality.
