‘Give a Smile’ project
Under the ‘Give a Smile’ project, 722 students’ mouths and teeth have been examined at Gyanodaya Secondary School in Kalimati, Kathmandu by August 27 2023. Under the ‘Give a Smile’ project, with the technical support of Kantipur Dental College Teaching Hospital and Research Center (KDC), BM Foundation, Rotary Club of Kathmandu North and Rotary International 3292 is going to conduct dental examination of 100,000 students studying in schools and colleges.
Natikaji Maharjan, principal of Gyanodaya Secondary School, said that this project will help the students to improve their oral and dental health.
To advance the ‘Give a Smile’ project, the president of the foundation Dr. Buddhiman Shrestha, Principal of KDC Dr. Rabindraman Shrestha, Rotary President Subas Ghimire signed a memorandum of understanding on the project.
Foundation has collaborated with Rotary International District 3292 and Rotary Club of Kathmandu North in this project for one year. The project has been started from August 1.
As mentioned, 100,000 students in schools and colleges in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur will be examined. The health technical team that will be involved in the examination has also given training to the students about oral and dental health.
