The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course comprises compulsory rotatory internship at the end of the course. The five and a half years academic program including one year aim of the program is to produce the graduates competent to perform preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative services expected of qualified dental surgeons.

The accent of the curriculum is student-centered, patient-based and community-oriented approach. The applies problem-based learning and integration of different disciplines.

Admission Requirement

Admission to the BDS program is based on the entrance examination conducted by  M EC. Students passing twelve years of higher secondary education with science (biology)/in I.Sc., 10+2, or equivalent are eligible to appear in the entrance examination.

 

They must have atleast 50% average score in aggregate and 50%  or 2-4 CGPA

The Curriculum Of BDS

The BDS Curriculum is divided into two parts. Part-1 includes the curriculum of the first and second years which encompasses the subjects of basic medical and dental science, whilst, Part-2, Part-3 and final BDS Include the curriculum of the remaining two and a half years which covers the clinical subject of dentistry and medical sciences.
