World Radiology Day 2024 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Kantipur Dental College and Research Centre (KDCH), Kathmandu, Nepal on November 8, 2024, in collaboration with Akademi Telnik Radiodiagnostik dan Radioterapi, Bali, Indonesia. The event highlighted the growing importance of dental radiology in Nepal and its vital role in accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient care. The program was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Chairman Dr. Buddhi Man Shrestha, Hospital Director Dr. Pratikchhya Shrestha, Principal Prof. Dr. Rabindra Man Shrestha, and Prof. Dr. Siddharth Gupta, Head of the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology (OMDR). The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Bagus Gede Dharmawan, and the keynote lecture was presented by international guest speaker Ms. Putu Irma Wulandari from the University of Sydney, Faculty of Medicine and Health.

The academic session featured eight E-poster presentations on dental radiology, prepared by third-year BDS students, intern doctors, and postgraduate residents from the Department of Pedodontics. These presentations showcased research and innovation in radiographic techniques, reflecting the commitment of KDCH to advancing dental education and radiology research in Nepal.

A landmark moment of the day was the inauguration of the advanced CBCT machine, the CS 9600, unveiled by Chairman Dr. Buddhi Man Shrestha in the esteemed presence of Principal Prof. Dr. Rabindra Man Shrestha. The installation of this cutting-edge CBCT technology in Kathmandu represents a significant leap forward in diagnostic dentistry, enabling more precise imaging and improved patient outcomes.

By celebrating World Radiology Day 2024 in Nepal, Kantipur Dental College reaffirmed its mission of combining academic excellence, global collaboration, and technological innovation.
