On Baishakh 5, 2082, the 2nd-year Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharma) students of Kantipur Dental College Teaching Hospital & Research Center participated in an educational field visit designed to provide practical insights into pharmacy, public health, and traditional medicine. The visit was organized under the subjects Public Health Pharmacy and Pharmacognosy, offering students a hands-on learning experience beyond the classroom.

During the visit, students explored several key institutions:

Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) – Students observed the milk pasteurization process, quality control measures, and public health nutrition practices, gaining practical knowledge about food safety and hygiene.

Ayurveda Health Home – Students experienced holistic healing practices and Ayurvedic therapies, understanding the integration of traditional medicine in modern healthcare.

Classic Ayurvedic Industry Pvt. Ltd. – The visit offered insights into the production of herbal and Ayurvedic medicines, including raw material selection, formulation, and quality control processes.

This educational field visit provided students with exposure to real-world practices in public health, pharmaceutical production, and traditional medicine, enhancing their theoretical understanding of the subjects. It also encouraged them to appreciate the role of Ayurvedic and herbal products in healthcare and the importance of quality assurance in pharmacy.

Kantipur Dental College extends special thanks to the subject teachers and the authorities of each institution for their warm guidance, cooperation, and support, which made this visit a meaningful learning experience for the students.
