With the slogan “Happy Mouth is… A Happy Mind”, Kantipur Dental College Teaching Hospital & Research Center and Kantipur School of Dentistry, Basundhara, Dhapasi, jointly celebrated World Oral Health Day 2025 with a series of awareness programs aimed at promoting oral and dental health in the community.

The event, held on Chaitra 07, 2081, began at 8:00 AM with a vibrant rally across Basundhara and Maharajgunj areas. Participants, carrying Play Cards and banners, highlighted the importance of oral hygiene and dental care, engaging the local community with educational messages and interactive demonstrations. The rally aimed to raise awareness about common oral health issues and encourage preventive measures, reinforcing the link between oral health and overall well-being.

In addition to the public outreach, Kantipur Dental College also launched the “Community Oral Health Program Report”, detailing the college’s initiatives in community dental education and free dental camps. This report highlighted the efforts undertaken by the institution to educate the public, provide preventive care, and address oral health challenges in underserved populations.

As part of the program, a one-day oral health awareness workshop was conducted for female health workers from Tokha Municipality, including free dental check-ups and educational sessions on proper oral hygiene practices. The workshop equipped participants with practical knowledge to further disseminate oral health information within their communities, strengthening the college’s mission to promote preventive dental care at the grassroots level.

The World Oral Health Day 2025 celebrations at Kantipur Dental College successfully combined public outreach, professional education, and community engagement, emphasizing the vital role of oral health in overall wellness.
